Driftin'
AaronG
As a single dad raising three children, Driftin’
AaronG often created animal adventures to inspire his kids’ imaginations.
Many of those stories and adventures are told in the form of his favorite
character, Claude Henry, the Iditarod Mouse. He has lived in and traveled
to many places including Alaska.
CLAUDE HENRY NEWSLETTER
December 2007
Howdy Once Again Friends and
Neighbors.
I trust everyone enjoyed that
special Thanksgiving Day that we all look forward to each and every
year. And let us not forget the special upcoming Christmas Day and all
the festivities during this special time that reminds us of the birth
of our Saviour, the baby Jesus. As a humble Mountain Mouse I think how
lucky all humans are to have such an individual as Jesus to be a reminder
why you’re all here.
My author, Driftin’ AaronG tells me that the baby Jesus was not
born just for humans but for all life that is born. I remember asking
if that meant a simple mouse such as I, and he smiled and said yes,
and that there is a spirit world of goodness that is open to all of
us somewhere. Driftin’ tells me that there is a place for all
humans and the animal kingdom to enjoy life in the hereafter.
So let us all rejoice during this very special Christmas season and
enjoy all the gifts of life that have been given to each of us, and
just know that the giving is so much more rewarding as is the receiving.
This will be the last newsletter for a while. I have an adventure to
go on that will not allow me the time to get a newsletter off to all
of you, so please bear with me until I return. Sometime soon I’ll
be back to fill you in on all the monthly information and adventures.
In the meantime my second adventure; “Claude
Henry, the Iditarod Mouse and the Great South African Adventure”
will be coming soon. If you have any questions to ask me, then please
write me or Driftin’ at our e-mail address here at the website.
We’d both love to hear from you.
Well friends and neighbors, it’s time for me to run off and prepare
for Santa Clause and all his Reindeer. Someday I’ll have to tell
you about when I really met the Jolly Old St. Nick one year when I visited
the North Pole and helped Santa with Christmas. It really was a fun
year for me and all my critter friends, so for now friends, Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year.

November 2007
Howdy once again Friends and Neighbors.
This month has been sort of quiet for me. I
haven’t any new adventures to talk with you about, so I’m
going to inform you of some of the things that my author, Driftin’
AaronG has been up to.
First, the book sales have done fairly well,
nothing great yet, but then Driftin’ says that Rome wasn’t
built in a day, so not to expect me to become famous overnight…He
sure is a smart critter for a human Hahaha. (Gulp) I hope he has a sense
of humor!
Anyway friends, the books are moving, and hopefully
when the second one comes out it will light up the sky with awesome
success just like the Northern Lights in Alaska.
Driftin’ tells me that he has been greatly inspired because of
my adventures to help children wherever we can, be it here in the United
States, South Africa, or anywhere in the world. He and I both believe
that it is every adult’s duty and job to speak out and help to
benefit the future of our children no matter what their race, color
or creed, or what tiny corner of the world they might live in.
That is why I travel to every corner
of the planet and maybe even far off into space if my author writes
it into an adventure. My books are meant to be a road of excitement
and fun that might lead to a better understanding for children to learn
about their neighbors in all parts of the world, and maybe in time when
we might all learn to get along as friends and neighbors on this great
planet earth.
The novel, “Claude Henry, the Iditarod Mouse, And the Great South
African Adventure” is on its way and you can read a little bit
about it on the book page of this website. Be sure and pick up your
first book of Claude Henry where the “Adventures Begin,”
before you read the second one.
Well friends and neighbors, it’s time for me to run off and prepare
for my next adventure, so take care and be safe.
Your friend and neighbor,
October 2007
Howdy Once Again Friends and Neighbors:
It’s getting about that time to give you my
monthly report. First let me say to all of you how much we here at Claude
Henry.com appreciate the input you’ve been sending us about how
we’re doing.
Driftin’ and I set off from Libby, MT on September 4, 2007 and
traveled to Marshall, Minnesota where Driftin’ had a great visit
with his grandchildren…I had a good time too, I might add. The
two children and I all had a wonderful and exciting time. Driftin’
found himself busy talking with a lot of folks about his books and me.
I kinda felt a little embarrassed but when fame comes your way just
a little, what can I say. Driftin’ did sell quite a number of
books talking about me though, so that is a good sign.
When it was time for Driftin’ to head out toward Kansas for a
book signing, I was called away on one of my many adventures so I didn’t
get to go and meet the folks there in Hays, and I’m sorry I didn’t
get to go, ‘cause Driftin’ has informed me that he had a
great time.
On September 15th Driftin’ had a book signing at a Hastings book
store in Hays, Kansas. Actually Driftin’ has some ties with Hays,
Kansas since he is some kind of descendent of “Texas Jack”
who has his photo in the museum, along with “Buffalo Bill”
and “Wild Bill Hickock.” Driftin’ always likes to
visit Hays and his friends there.
The trip was somewhat successful and we made it back to Libby in record
time. We missed the Bighorn Mountains since it was raining and the place
where Driftin’ usually goes was all packed well with fresh mud
so we didn’t make it. Driftin’ did write some poetry along
the way that will be added at some future date.
Well Friends and Neighbors…That’s about all there is for
now, so enjoy the newsletter and we’ll meet again on the flip-flop
next month…Don’t forget to keep checking back to see all
the new stuff coming your way on our website…See ya all in November!
Your friend and neighbor,
September 2007 - News Letter
Howdy Friends and Neighbors, welcome to my first newsletter that will
keep you informed of my current affairs and adventures. My author, Driftin’
AaronG, tells me that we’re open for suggestions if you have any
to make. Just let me know when you sign in on the guest book, and you
can also let me know how I’m doing.
My author, Driftin’ AaronG had his first
book signing in Libby, MT on Saturday, September 1, 2007. He reported
that he had a fair turnout for a Labor Day weekend and met a lot of
very interesting readers. I’d hoped to be there but I was so busy
on another adventure that it was just impossible for me to make it,
but maybe another time.
On Tuesday, Driftin’ an’ I will be
hittin’ the road on our first adventure since our very first one
back in 1984. Driftin’ is taking me to meet his two grandchildren,
Little Sophie and Little Sam, and we’re even planning to do a
little fishing. Then we’ll be off to Hays, Kansas for a book signing
at a Hastings Book Store scheduled for Saturday, September 15, 2007.
After that, Driftin’ an’ I will be
heading out toward the Big Horn Mountains for a week or so of relaxation
and fun, with Driftin’ trying to find some inspiration to write
some poetry.
Well friends and neighbors…Time for me
to be running along and help Little Sue with the chores…Seems
like there is also something she wants me to do, but I love her and
I’ll do whatever her little Ol’ heart desires.
So have a great month friends and I’ll
be back and give you another update in October…Happy Days and
Fun Adventures to all…
Your friend and neighbor,
